AUO Ranked Top 5% in S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2025

AUO has been ranked in the top 5% globally in the 2025 S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook, standing out among 7,690 companies worldwide. This recognition reaffirms AUO’s leadership in sustainable development and its commitment to ESG excellence. The award ceremony was held for the first time in Taiwan, where AUO was honored for its achievements.

Each year, S&P Global conducts its Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), evaluating companies across environmental, social, and governance (ESG) dimensions. AUO has been selected as a component of the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI) for 14 consecutive years, ranking second globally in the “Electronic Equipment, Instruments & Components” industry. Its inclusion in the 2025 Yearbook further highlights its consistent performance.

AUO achieved perfect scores in six key areas, including environmental policy and management, water stewardship, public policy, privacy protection, transparency and reporting, and materiality analysis. It also earned the highest industry scores in biodiversity and sustainable raw materials.

These outstanding results have translated into tangible financial benefits. As sustainability-linked financial instruments gain traction, AUO has actively leveraged its ESG performance to secure favorable financing. Since 2019, AUO has signed Sustainability-Linked Loans (SLLs) with 25 syndicated banks, including Bank of Taiwan, First Bank, DBS, and the Export-Import Bank of China. Under the SLL framework, loan terms are tied to third-party ESG ratings—better performance leads to more competitive loan conditions.

AUO’s ability to convert sustainability achievements into financial advantages demonstrates a positive cycle of sustainable business growth. As climate and industry challenges evolve, AUO remains committed to strengthening its ESG strategies and collaborating with ecosystem partners to drive meaningful impact.
