Voluntary commitment that any new factory achieves LEED certification system from the US
All our factories built since 2008 have been introduced into the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification system from the US
, To date, four of our factories have obtained the LEED certification for green buildings.
We apply creative design solutions that involve the local ecosystems, solar energy, and green building materials, smart monitoring and control of our factory systems and production equipment, as well as energy and water conservation and work to build a green culture. We have adopted the AUO New Factory Green Building and Energy Rules and self-imposed standards derived from those. Through functional measurements, we verify [and improve] our systems until they meet the functional thresholds and operating efficacy to qualify for certification. The ecology surrounding our Green Fabs and their standards are closely linked.
