Cultivate partnerships with suppliers and regularly share market trends, material delivery status, and inventory status with suppliers. AUO adopts a diversified purchasing model to reduce the dependence on single sources; we increase the number of qualified suppliers to reduces the structural risk of materials shortages.
Demand risk
Materials shortage risks are regularly mapped so that sales can work with the customer to assess future demand in advance. Strategic inventory can be well-built up through catching the raw materials demand and risk evaluation.

Conduct yearly supply chain risk evaluation with global standards, encourage suppliers to follow social responsibility declarations to commit RBA
AUO formulate our Supplier Code of Conduct according to RBA auditor standards which examines five principal areas including of Labor, Health and Safety, The Environment, Ethics, and Management Systems. Suppliers are managed through on-site audits, document reviews, and employee interviews by our audit team consisted of MM, SQE, ESH, and HR departments. Suppliers will be filtered by specific criteria; once the common deficiencies are found among the suppliers, we will launch the related mentoring classes and share to all suppliers to leverage resources.

Screening Criteria for Annual RBA Audit
Analyze the raw materials of products through Conflict Mineral Material Management System to filter material which contains metal elements, and then enforce Conflict Minerals Verification Platform by procurement system.
To ensure all suppliers are properly executing the conflict minerals management, AUO issue Conflict Minerals Management Policy and manage our supplier through audit activities so as to reach AUO’s requirements. Combined with current orders and material receiving information, the company names, locations, and also the national origin of minerals of our oil refinery are collected as a requirement to be applied on our conflict minerals verification e-platform survey. All Gold (Au), Tantalum (Ta), Tin (Sn) and Tungsten (W) minerals have been confirmed as coming from non-conflict regions.
