To reduce environmental and ecological impact, fulfill our corporate responsibility for environmental sustainability, and satisfy stakeholders’ expectations, and continue to comply with international regulations, AUO annually reviews and updates the policy of hazardous substances management in products and processes based on international laws and regulations, customer requirements and environmental protection trends. We implement those in our production processes, and prod our suppliers to fulfill their responsibilities as well, in order to jointly create a green product supply chain.
We obtained the IECQ QC 080000 certification
AUO obtained the latest certification of IECQ QC080000 international standard for hazardous substance management to achieve the goals for mitigation of hazardous substances and effective management, and established a complete, systematic and clear management process to implement the hazardous substance management by product lifecycle considerations.

In accordance with international laws and regulations, customer requirements and environmental protection trends, we regularly update the hazardous substances management lists. In 2023, the controlled substances are expected to increase to 147 types of chemical substances.
Continuous Improvement Proposals and Projects
Improvement proposals and projects are constantly promoted to cultivate the problem-solving skills of AUO engineers and boost the overall competitiveness of the company. All employees are encouraged to adopt a systematic and logical approach to project improvements so that a common lexicon can be created at every level of the company and achieve company or department-level performance targets. B2B (Back to Basics) and E2E (Execute to Excellence) are enforced.

A tiered training program based on the different AI applications of each business activity was developed to cultivate internal experts, instructors for each unit and for general education. AUO hopes this will produce continuous improvements in the quality skills of our personnel.
